Since 2017, when RIGID MACHINERY CO., LTD collaborated with KONE to successfully develop the domestically produced Tirak tool (also commonly known as cable climber or scaffold-free elevator installation hoist), RIGID's LTD-P series hoists have become synonymous with domestically produced Tirak tools in China and have been recognized as a key standardized installation solution for KONE elevators.
To further standardize the scaffold-free elevator installation process, enhance frontline operators' proficiency in using standardized tools, reduce the risk of construction hazards and safety accidents caused by improper use, and improve overall installation quality and efficiency, Rigid Machinery Co., Ltd organized a two-day theoretical and practical maintenance training session from June 11 to June 12 at the request of KONE. This marks the 19th session of such training.
The training was designed to meet the actual needs of construction sites. Rather than relying solely on theoretical instruction, it adopted an integrated teaching model combining focused theoretical explanations, operational demonstrations, hands-on practice, and hazard case reviews. The sessions were led by senior technical engineers from Rigid Machinery Co., Ltd.
During the training, the instructors explained product parameters, suitable application scenarios, end-of-life determination criteria, and clarified the full-process management system for regular tool maintenance. During the practical sessions, participants practiced in groups, receiving one-on-one guidance and corrections from the instructors. This helped raise awareness of proper tool maintenance, extend the service life of equipment, and reduce material costs on construction sites.
The participants remained fully engaged, actively discussing practical challenges and asking questions based on real construction site issues. Everyone gained a solid understanding of standardized tool operation and job safety standards. Many attendees noted that the training addressed key pain points on the front line and filled knowledge gaps in refined tool operation. They expressed their commitment to strictly following operating standards and maintaining a strong safety focus in future work.
This special training session further strengthened frontline workers' awareness of safe construction practices and their practical operational skills. Moving forward, Rigid Machinery Co., Ltd will continue to regularly provide hands-on and safety compliance training, strictly enforcing safety and quality standards to enhance elevator installation efficiency and quality, ensuring compliance and building a solid dual defense line of safety and quality.
